Butterflies and a cough

Just recently it has been craft central around here. Spending so much time doing this and not actually blogging or being very sociable. In between that and now I think I have caught every bug and cough/cold going round.

Jennifer Maker on YouTube made a canvas with a heart of butterflies on it and I fell really in love with it. Having bought myself a Cricut Maker it didn’t take me long to cut out 448 tiny butterflies out of 4 different coloured pieces of card yesterday.

Today nothing else was going right craft wise so I brought out the butterflies and starting gluing them in a heart formation. All great fun, and no glue anywhere but where it should be, until I coughed and they flew across the canvas and desk it all went surprisingly well. Luckily I can see the funny side.

so far so good and will continue it tomorrow when I get some time.Trying to decide on a short quote or few thoughtful words to also put on one of the bottom corners of the canvas.

Don’t think I will need all the butterflies as my hearts a little smaller than Jennifer’s, but they sure do make me smile. I spent a while yesterday cutting them out, peeling them off the cutting mat and pinching each one in half. All where put in a separate tub according to the colour. I often admit to not liking fiddly things or working with glue but, in this case, It’s been good because of no stuck together fingers or massive glue spills all over the show. Not sure if its’s because a tacky glue and not to liquid maybe? Whatever the case it didn’t up up down my arms, over my elbows and in my hair. Winning moment indeed 🙂

Other than that it’s been a quiet weekend so far. We braved a visit to Sainsbury (supermarket) and managed to leave the shop with everything we went for and without being rammed by someone else’ trolley or basket so I was impressed. Makes a change for grocery shopping to be so easy .

Hope you have been well and would love to hear how you all are x
